Cyber Cafe West
Mismatched silverware and Craiglist couches are trademarks of this always-buzzing Main Street fixture--clearly the money goes where it counts: some of the best munchies-over-coffee grub you'll find in Greater Bing AND live music that can't be beat. P |
The Old Market Cafe
Even the name sounds cozy. "Food boredom runs rampant in upstate New York. The Old Market has the cure." Any place that promotes their afternoon teas sounds "delightful". |
Lost Dog Cafe
A Binghamton staple; Lost Dog is the original "hip" Bing hangout. A spacious dining room (filled with visiting BU parents and casual lunchers), good food... oh, plus they serve whole wheat pasta. Which I have a strange affinity for. |
Tranquil Bar & Bistro
From buttoned up business men dealing over cocktails to passionate politicos arguing strategy--everybody finds their way to Tranquil at one time or another. Diverse; funky; high quality food--but still chill. |
Kilmer Brasserie & Steakhouse
Uber-chic atmosphere and great steak. With the occasional Friday night house music party. This is where you can take your out-of-town guests to convince them that Bing's got all the class of the big city bistros. |
Mad Moose Saloon
Bingo's underground bar and restaurant. Stylish atmosphere (but ya gotta like dead animal heads hangin off the walls) and solid food from David Dunster. |
River Muse Cafe
Excellent coffee, yummy soups, funky atmosphere. With food from all over Bing. Owner Barbara Daly's rainbow collection of berets are a sight to see. |
