I heard Bob Dylan is coming to Binghamton but I’m buying Snooki tix instead…
As I write this, Binghamton University Snooki tickets are about to go on sale. It’s true, the biggest hot mess in Jersey since the Turnpike itself is coming right here to the Southern Tier. I’m secretly thrilled about it. It may actually get me to watch the Jersey Shore for the first time ever. (OK, that was my other big secret. I’ve never seen the Jersey Shore. When you grow up 30 minutes from Seaside Heights, it hardly seems necessary. I grew up surrounded by fist-pumping and fake tans.)

Here’s a quick interview w BU student entertainment guru Aaron Cohn about the upcoming visit from the Snookster.
So, uh, Snooki… she’s coming here to… sing? dance? What exactly DOES Snooki do on an appearance?
Well, it’s not confirmed, but she might do a backflip. The truth is though, she is so unpredictable that you never know exactly what she’ll do…just that it will be entertaining. She will be coming with comedian who will be interacting with her on stage, and asking questions designed her to say funny things or tell funny stories. She’ll talk about the other characters on the show, give the inside scoop, and also open up for audience Q&A at the end. Oh, and she’ll also be hosting/judging a "best abs" contest.
I’m a little bit hoping Snooki teaches a master class in something while she visits the university. Though I’m pretty sure she didn’t go to college—at least, I can’t find any mention online… Think we can get President McGrath to give her an honorary degree?
You’re in luck because she will be teaching a master class- in fist pumping. And I’m pretty sure she’s in school to become a vet technician.
When Snooki went to James Madison back in March, the Facebook wall for the event had to be shut down because people started posting what’s been called racist things—and comments that she deserved to get punched. I know it’s pretty early, but has the reaction to the booking been positive at BU?
Everyone has a reaction of some sort. Tons of people love it. Others…not so much. But she’s entertaining any way you slice it.
So obviously everybody wants to party with Snooki. Do you get any sense from management that somebody could book her for an after-party in downtown Bing?
Hmmm…unfortunately I doubt it. Seems like it wouldn’t be the safest thing to do.
So Letterman’s fist-pumped with Snooki. It’s gotta be something of an honor. Will you do the obligatory backstage fistpump photo?
It. Will. Happen.
